Dam of Cohilla.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

In this project, Maquigestión Europa participated in the maintenance and rehabilitation works of the Dam of Cohilla, a hydraulic infrastructure set in a complex and difficult-access environment. The project required a scaffolding solution that was highly adaptable and robust, capable of operating on irregular verticals and under demanding climatic conditions.

Dam of Cohilla.
The Cohilla reservoir, located southwest of Cantabria (Spain), is an arch-type dam built in 1950 covering an area of 450 hectares. This dam, owned by Endesa, has a volume of 12 hm³, retaining the waters of the Nansa river. Maquigestión Europa, on assignment from Endesa, carried out the vertical preparation work on the dam wall. In spite of the complexity of the job, total accessibility to the entire repair zone was achieved. Thanks to these scaffolding systems, the projected works at the dam are being carried out successfully.
